Math Team2009-2010 NEWS2008-2009 NEWS Congratulations to Ransom, a 7th grade MathCounts member. He was invited to the Maine State MathCounts competition, as the 4th ranking Eastern Chapter individual, not already on a team. He placed 12th at the chapter competition. Sixth grader, Clifton was close behind, placing 13th at the chapter competition. The state competition will be held on Saturday, March 14: π Day. 2007-2008 NEWS Congratulations to the MathCounts team members - 6th graders, Ransom and Andy, and 7th graders, Aaron and Sam - for their fourth place finish at the Chapter Competition on February 2. The team is coached by parent, Dawn Burgess, and GT Specialist, Sarah Winne. The MATHCOUNTS team is for students in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8; students meet every Tuesday afternoon from 2:30 to 3:00 in the library. The top ranking students are invited to represent the school at competitions. The students THANK the PTSA for their generous grant that helped them purchase team t-shirts.
